The Master's Grip: In His Grip

In His Grip

Psalm 139:9-10

9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

I decided to setup a new blog that wasn't based around my name or Multnomah. I went with "His Grip" as it is what I sign most of my letters, posts, emails, etc. with; well to be precise I sign with "In His Grip" but that was taken as a link. I haven't finished with this blog setup so it hasn't gone public yet. When I do go public I plan on making this blog a little more "idea" filled instead of just life updates. If you know me, you know I normally have about a hundred different ideas and concepts running through my head this will give me a place to put some of the them.

In the meantime, remember, you really are secure in his grip. He created you not because he had to, but because he wanted to. He is a God who cares about you, not just as a part of his creation as a whole but you as individual.

Luke 12:24-31

24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

27 "Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

In His GRIP,

James
